How Collection Atlas Works Open Beta

Collection Atlas compares your Magic: The Gathering (MTG) card collection against public decklists to help you find decks you can build, what you’re missing, and the estimated cost to finish a deck.

Deck library size
Collection Atlas currently has {2,815,320} decks indexed for comparison.

What is Collection Atlas?

Collection Atlas is a Magic: The Gathering deck analysis tool that helps you see which public decks you can build using your existing card collection. It also estimates how much it would cost to purchase the missing cards needed to complete a deck.

How does Collection Atlas work?

Upload your MTG collection (for example, a Moxfield-exported CSV) and optionally filter by commander or colors. Collection Atlas compares your collection against scanned public decks, identifies missing cards, and estimates the cost to finish decks.

Where do the decks come from?

Today, Collection Atlas scans public decks from Moxfield. We plan to add decks from additional sources over time to increase coverage and variety.

Why does it take time to run a comparison?

Comparisons can take time because the tool may compare your collection against hundreds of thousands of decks, evaluating card-by-card ownership and missing-card pricing. Performance improvements are ongoing.

Is Collection Atlas free to use?

Yes. There are currently no plans to charge users for Collection Atlas. If monetization is ever introduced in the future, there will always be free features and free ways to use the service.

Is my collection data saved or shared?

No. Uploaded collections are used only for the comparison process. Collection Atlas does not sell or share your data, and user accounts are not required at this time.

Why do some commanders or decks not appear immediately?

Collection Atlas uses a background scanning system. When new commanders or decks are requested, they are queued and scanned automatically. Availability depends on scan timing and deck volume, but requested content is prioritized whenever possible.

How do I report bugs or issues?

Email support@collection-atlas.com with what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened. Screenshots are always helpful.

What features are planned?

Planned and experimental ideas include additional deck sources, faster filtering, improved pricing/recommendations, saved collections and accounts, and ongoing UI/performance improvements. Suggestions are always welcome — community feedback helps guide priorities.
